Team Building During the Pandemic

Team Building During the Pandemic

Bagwell & Bagwell Insurance strives to create a fun culture for its staff. One of our efforts toward this goal is to have a monthly “Fun Thursday” whereby we join a zoom invite if our workload permits and play an online game together. It builds camaraderie in our office and allows time for some team building work. It helps keep us stay connected and promotes a little healthy competition. We laugh a lot during these Fun Thursdays!

Here are some of the games we have played together during the last several months. These are free and we have found them quite easy to use. We hope you try these and have fun playing with your friends and family, in person or virtually!

Drawzie

Drawize is a free pictionary online drawing game.

Sign up is free. You create your profile by choosing your preferred language and adding a name and avatar. You can create specific games and invite your friends and family or you can play strangers from around the world.

Bingo

Bingo is a classic game that is hard not to love and in this online version, it is really easy to play. Many different bingo games are available. If you like to keep it classic there is the vertical or diagonal approach, but if you want to get adventurous you can choose to play a different pattern like sputnik or dog bone.

Scattergories

Most of us have played Scattergories before. Scattergories is a creative-thinking category-based party game originally published by Parker Brothers in 1988. Parker Brothers was purchased by Hasbro a few years later, and they published the game internationally under their Milton Bradley brand.

The objective of the game is to score points by uniquely naming objects within a set of categories, given an initial letter, within a time limit. The game is based on a traditional game known as Tutti Frutti, Jeu du Baccalauréat, Stadt Land Fluss, and many other names. (via Wikipedia)

This free online version by Swellgarfo is a simple way to play. A letter is displayed and a clock ticks down. You can choose how many responses to make (up to twelve) and how long to give participants to answer.

If you are looking for a fun way to connect with family, friends, colleagues and clients, we recommend giving one of these games a try! We are sure that you will have as much fun as we do!
