A Note on Navigating Claims.

Oh no! You have your first insurance claim. Whether the claim is something minor like a windshield ding or something much more severe, claims can be a scary time for everyone.  Navigating the claims process for the first time (or the 100th time) can be overwhelming.  We want to share with you some things to keep in mind when a claim happens:

  1. Protect and Preserve. It is important to take action to protect yourself, others and property involved in the claim.  Preserve property to prevent further damage. Safety first though – Protection and preservation are not as critical as your safety.

  2. Reach out to us!  We want to hear from you so we can help you get the process started and are happy to initiate the claims process with on your behalf. Even if you are unsure of whether to file a claim, give us a call or shoot us an e-mail and we can help guide you.

  3. Adjusters are superheroes. Consumers can be weary of claims adjuster. There is a stigma in our industry that insurance companies don’t want to pay. We are committed to working with carriers that share our value proposition that the client comes first. Trust in your adjuster and know that they have your best interest at heart.

  4. Let us be your advocates. If any issues arise or you need a little more explanation on something, let us know. We are happy to help. After all, claims are why you choose to purchase insurance in the first place.

  5. It’s not the end of the world.  Don’t beat yourself up. Claims happen. If it is your first claim, consider yourself lucky that you have had a claims free existence.  No need to worry you have insurance coming to the rescue!
